About Us...We teach people how to meditate, plain and simple.  

WHAT IS MEDITATION?

Meditation in it's simplest form is the ability to calm and clear the mind (Samatha) to gain insight allowing us to gradually rid the mind of impurities or defilements (Vipassana). It is the ability to sit quietly and see things for what they really are, without judgement, allowing us the opportunity for change if needed. No need for apps, mantras or any outside assistance. This is pure Buddhist meditation (Mindfulness) and what we teach. 

WHY AJNA MEDITATION SERVICES?

Over 1/2 billion people meditate daily worldwide to relieve stress and anxiety. It's not hard to do once you know how. With decades of personal experience and over 1000 hours of formal training Fred (our Certified Meditation Instructor) breaks it down into easy to understand sessions. Through one on one interaction you receive all the knowledge you need to continue a successful daily meditation practice.

DOES IT WORK?

Meditation is not hard to learn provided you are willing to learn and are following instruction on the correct way to do it. If you download an app and try to meditate with no formal training or experience you will probably find it difficult and quit. We take the guess work out of it and have had individuals as young as 8 years old complete the course. Age and faith based belief does not matter.

Important Information

 HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

Addressing the course, you need to commit to one hour per day, one day per week for 4 consecutive weeks to learn. There will be assignments for you to practice during the week between classes.

Regarding meditation itself, most people will meditate for 10 - 30 minutes per day or more.

WHAT WILL I LEARN?

The course is divided into four sessions. Session one deals with correct posture and the history and benefits of meditation, week two gives us an opportunity to look at our mind to see how it works, week three you learn breathing, focus, concentration, awareness, and dealing with distractions and week four is our closing session with a hard look at how you are doing and any last minute guidance you may need.

OK, WHAT'S IT COST?

One on one and couple courses cost $100.00/person.

Groups get a discount and we need to discuss how many people to arrive at a cost.

Classes are currently held in the comfort of your home, place of business or  through Zoom.

INDIVIDUAL INSTRUCTION

This class is designed for anyone who wants to learn how to meditate, tried to practice and quit or is looking to freshen up their current practice. We cover the history and benefits of meditation, correct posture, understanding how the mind works as well as breathing, focus, concentration, awareness, and dealing with distractions.

COUPLES INSTRUCTION

Same as individual instruction but designed for two individuals, husband/wife, partners, parent/children, etc. A fun and unique way to bond while learning how to meditate.

GROUP INSTRUCTION 

All the good stuff previously listed but geared towards large (more than two) groups...parents/multiple children, friends, employees, etc. The more the merrier!
